The star and his entourage were escorted out a side door at the airport as fans pressed forward in the arrivals area.
“Finally got to New Zealand last night. The airport was crazy. Not happy that someone stole my hat and knocked down my mama. Come on people,” Bieber wrote on his Twitter account.
“Want to be able to sign and take pics and meet my fans, but if you are all pushing security wont let me. Let’s keep it safe and have fun.”
On Wednesday he performed six songs at a private concert at an Auckland school and bungy-jumped from the Auckland Harbour Bridge.
