Justin Bieber Throws Surprise First Pitch on U.S. Cellular Field

The crowd stood up and went mad-wild at the US Cellular Field of May 5 and it’s not because the Royals or the White Sox won, but because Justin Bieber made a surprise appearance during the Royals-White Sox game!

Prior to the event, the 16 year old pop idol was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch on the field.
Justin sported a No.10 jersey with his name emblazoned on the back as well as a black Sox cap. Earlier on he tweeted:

“Just finished oprah rehearsals, and I’m throwing the first pitch at the white sox game.. Let’s go!”

This means that it was no surprise to his ardent Twitter followers who literally followed him everywhere, but nonetheless the field erupted in a frenzy of feverish cries by lovestruck fans. The teen sensation also managed to wow infielder Mark Teahen who sent out this tweet during the game:

“Is it Normal 2 b mildly excited about this?”

The teenage heartthrob appeared at 8PM and posed with Southpaw the mascot before heading purposefully towards the mound. In apparent delight, he glanced at his name on the scoreboard and jokingly gestured as if he was shaking off the ace’s signs.

Justin, who already has almost 2.5 million followers to date, caused the Twitterers to go into a frenzy with his surprise appearance. #justinbieber hastags flew around and he became the top trending topic, and not for the first time either. Many have questions why is Justin the top trending topic on Twitter while others have expressed criticisms and unhappiness over this unwanted phenomenon.

Whether you love or loath Justin Bieber, you gotta agree he’s going to stick around for quite a while 😉
